Kris is originally from Huntington Beach, CA (Southern California – think The OC) but moved to Summerville, SC in August of 2014 when her husband got a job at Blackbaud out on Daniel Island. She has two small children, Peyton (born 2008) and Alex (born July 2014). Moving all the way across the US was a big shock in so many ways especially with no friends or family here to lean on. She joined the group in April of 2015 and is happy to call everyone not only a friend but family as well. Kris enjoys reading, scrapbooking, and sewing when she has time and the kids are quiet. Kris has volunteering in her blood and has a hard time saying “No” or not raising her hand when help is needed. In the past she has served as both board and group level volunteers for AYSO (kids youth soccer) and also Little League (kids youth baseball). Since joining the group Kris has serviced as the Calendar Coordinator and is currently serving as not only the co-leader but also the interim Special Interest Group Coordinator and the current book club organizer.
