Keri is one of our full time working moms, and the Fund Development Director at Dorchester Children’s Center, a child advocacy center in Summerville. She enjoys cooking, entertaining, and Philadelphia Eagles football. Keri is also a member of the Junior Service League of Summerville and Lowcountry Fire Wives. Keri’s past positions include Calendar Coordinator, Sunshine Meals Coordinator, Social Media and Website Coordinator, Fundraising Chair, Membership Chair and is now in her fourth term as Co-Leader.

Kris (Co-Leader)

Kris is originally from Huntington Beach, CA (Southern California – think The OC) but moved to Summerville, SC in August of 2014 when her husband got a job at Blackbaud out on Daniel Island.  She has two small children, Peyton (born 2008) and Alex (born July 2014).  Moving all the way across the US was a big shock in so many ways especially with no friends or family here to lean on.  She joined the group in April of 2015 and is happy to call everyone not only a friend but family as well.  Kris enjoys reading, scrapbooking, and sewing when she has time and the kids are quiet.  Kris has volunteering in her blood and has a hard time saying “No” or not raising her hand when help is needed.  In the past she has served as both board and group level volunteers for AYSO (kids youth soccer) and also Little League (kids youth baseball).  Since joining the group Kris has serviced as the Calendar Coordinator and is currently serving as not only the co-leader but also the interim Special Interest Group Coordinator and the current book club organizer.

Deanna (Treasurer)

Deanna is originally from Newport News, VA but moved to Charlotte, NC halfway through high school.  She met her husband while they were both studying Mechanical Engineering at NC State and got married just after graduating.  They relocated to the Summerville area in the fall of 2011 along with two young sons (born 2008 and 2010) and have since welcomed a little girl into their family (2014).  Deanna is currently a stay-at-home mom and is active in her church and neighborhood women’s club, in addition to this wonderful group of ladies!  On the weekends, Deanna enjoys exploring her new hometown with her family and likes doing crafts and decorating whenever she gets the chance.

Leah (Membership Chair)

Leah is originally from Kentucky, but spent 13 years moving around while in the Army. She met and married her husband in California, but it was while living in Georgia that they decided to find a place to settle down and change careers so they could establish stability for their family. Leah moved to Summerville in 2014 when her husband was hired as a firefighter for Charleston. She works from home as a Scentsy consultant helping people find decor to bring warmth and comfort to their homes while adding the perfect fragrance to establish great feelings and memories to last a lifetime. Leah has two daughters (born in 2011 and the newest in December 2016) and a son (born 2014). She is very excited to get to know more Moms in the area and help to make sure each Mom in the group is getting everything she wants and needs from our amazing Mom family.

Amy (Public Relations Chair)

Amy grew up in Summerville and recently moved back in December 2015. She received her BS in Marketing & Management from the University of South Carolina while cheering on her Gamecocks. She met her husband while living in Columbia, SC and they moved around SC before returning to Summerville with their two small boys (born June 2012 and May 2014). Amy works her Rodan+Fields skin care business from home were she is able be with her boys and help friends boost their confidence by resolving their skin care needs. She enjoys being involved in the community and is a member of the Summerville Junior Service League.
