DCAC School Supply Drive

School Supply Drive– Every year we collect school supplies for Dorchester Children’s Advocacy Center (DCAC) to distribute out to their clients at the beginning of the school year.

Nursing Home

Nursing Home- A favorite for many of our kids, multiple times a year we take trips to  local nursing homes and visit with the residents. We make homemade cards, sing songs, and put on shows!

Flowertown Festival

Flowertown– A necessity for all moms of little ones is having a place to change diapers and nurse comfortably. Our members volunteer their time to set up and man this booth as it is the only place at the Flowertown Festival to do so.

Diaper Drive

Diaper Drive 2015 Final Collection Event at Gahagan Park almost 2000 diapers collected and 500 wipes (5)-2

Diaper Drive– Diapers are struggle for many low-income families in the Lowcountry. Last year, we collected over 2,000 diapers that we donated to a women’s shelter to help that burden for mothers in need.

Food Bank Drive

Food Drive– When the schools close for the summer, many food banks find it hard to keep up with the extra demand now that school breakfast and lunches aren’t available for those kids and families who rely on them. Once or twice a year our members help do their part by donating non-perishable foods to keep pantries stocked.

Ronald McDonald House

Ronald McDonald– The Charleston Ronald McDonald House hosts many families who have children admitted to the local children’s hospital because they believe ‘children heal faster when families are together’. We like to support them by volunteering to cook a nice breakfast for the families so they can focus on their child instead.

Toy Drive/Christmas Kids

Dorchester Children’s Center- The annual Operation E.L.F. Christmas toy drive program at Dorchester Children’s Center helps provide Christmas for clients in need. They make sure that each child has several gifts from their wish list, and provide the gifts for all of the children in the family. Last year they provided a memorable Christmas for approximately 250 children and families in our community and Summerville Moms was honored and proud to donate gifts.
